Conferences
Business Professionals of America (BPA) has an outstanding calendar of professional conferences for its student members each year. Besides being organized on the Local Level, BPA is also organized on the Regional, State, and National Levels. Therefore, BPA has professional development conferences at each of these levels.
Fall BPA Regional Conference (October)
- Six Regional Officers are elected each Fall - Blaine had two officers in 2011-2012, including Vice President and Historian
- Members have a chance to meet students from other regional schools
- First chance to see what BPA is all about, beyond the local level
Fall BPA State Leadership Conference, Minneapolis (October)
- Six State Officers are elected each Fall, in 2011 Blaine had two State Officers
- Officer Training for local officers
- Business and Professional Training Sessions for all members
- Meet new students from across the State
- Social opportunities like dances and other forms of entertainment
Spring BPA Regional Competitive Events Conference (February)
- Members compete in numerous individual and/or team Competitive Events
- Chapters can participate in the Special Recognition Projects (Chapter Awards)
- Members attend a special Awards Banquet
- Members may qualify to compete at the State Spring Conference
- Blaine placed 1st in Community Actions, and BPA Marketing & Public Relations
- 21 Individuals Event Winners from Blaine went on to State 2011
Spring BPA State Competitive Events Conference, Minneapolis (March)
- Members compete in events that they won on the Regional level
- All chapters may submit for the Special Recognition Project Awards (Chapter Awards)
- Members participate in the Grand Awards Session
- Social opportunities including two dances and other events
- Members may qualify to compete at the National Spring Conference, nine Blaine members qualified in 2011 to go to Washington, DC! It's off to Chicago, IL in 2012!
Spring BPA National Competitive Events Conference (April)
- Will be held in Chicago, IL for the 2011-2012 BPA year
- Members compete in individual and/or team events that they won on State level
- All chapters may submit for the Special Recognition Project Awards (Chapter Awards)
- Six National BPA Student Officers are elected during the conference
- Numerous social opportunities, chances to meet members from around the country and a visit to all the Chicago sites!!
