BPA Teddy Bear Challenge raised $3,500 to donate to Children's and Fairview Hospital's!
|
Community Service Halloween Safety Project At the end of October, Blaine BPA went to Johnsville Elementary School and taught children
about Halloween Safety. They learned not to take candy from strangers, and
to always have their parents inspect the candy before they eat it.
In November 2009, BPA conducted the 12th Annual Teddy Bear Challenge. Students
and Staff in the school bought blue paper bears for $1 each, or a Gold Teddy
Bear for $25. The money that was raised went to Children's and Fairview Hospitals to buy real
teddy bears. We raised over $4,500--great job Bengals! All money raised was
used to buy real teddy bears for children in the hospital. Coats For Kids
In the beginning of October BPA conducted their 17th Annual Coats For Kids Drive to collect coats to donate to needy children. We collected 440 coats in school and by going out into neighborhoods! All the coats were donated to six area charities. We made the news in several area papers.
